Since launching Cavalry Ventures in 2016, we’ve had the privilege of working with incredible founders, learning from their bold ideas and unique visions of the future. They’ve shown us that building something truly transformative requires more than just funding. It takes deep partnership, adaptability, and a shared belief in what’s possible. When we started this journey, we felt that startups needed something different from venture capital. We set out to combine our entrepreneurial roots and investing style with a strong platform to support our portfolio companies. Today, this feeling is reflected in the ever-accelerating technological advancements, a new generation of entrepreneurs, and the evolution of our investment thesis. The game has changed, and so have the expectations founders rightfully have of their VCs. Today we are introducing NAP. NAP is our way of embracing this new reality in 2025: a venture fund built on strong foundations, conceived to support expert founders as they shape the future in a world that refuses to stand still.

We combine entrepreneurial experience (including an IPO, multiple trade sales, and many failures) with experience investing in more than 70 companies, working with founders on equal footing. We invest early, becoming maximally aligned with founders in driving the business to the next stage. Our role doesn’t stop there. We stay in for the long haul, serving as a sounding board and trusted partner as challenges and opportunities evolve. Authenticity is at the heart of everything we do. Back to the Future

As the world is changing, so is the venture capital ecosystem. Today, we have new, cool funds, Solo GPs (FTW!), and many other valuable additions entering our little bubble. But, years of a zero-interest environment until the end of 2021 have encouraged bad practices, such as multi-stage funds over-capitalising companies at an early stage, and investors prioritising career advancement by spending money over generating actual returns, and in many instances leaving startups orphaned at critical moments. It’s become industrialised—losing sight of what early-stage VC was meant to be.

We believe it’s time to return to the roots of venture capital: partnering early and staying committed for the long run. Founding teams today are more experienced than ever. They don’t need armies of support staff or overbuilt platform teams. What they need are authentic, experienced partners who are aligned with their success and ready to build together. That’s what NAP is all about: going back to early-stage VC in its truest, most effective form, designed for the challenges and opportunities of today.
